Join us for a powerful 10-week journey celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and joy of African and Black diasporic history. Held Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, October 4–December 13, 2025 (no class November 29), this intergenerational course invites participants of all ages to explore: Genius – From ancient African innovations to modern Black inventors, artists, and scientists Justice – Resistance movements from slave rebellions to Black Lives Matter Joy – Black culture through music, art, and community traditions Each week features engaging topics like Ancient Africa’s Legacy, Harlem Renaissance & Black Joy, and Culmination Event Prep. Participants will develop skills in research, creative expression, and public speaking. Final Showcase: Saturday, December 20 at Haverford College Auditorium — a celebration of student projects, performances, and exhibits! Space is limited. Come learn, create, and celebrate with us!
